As part of our mission to encourage the use of our first-aid kits for safer cycling, we are sponsoring athletes and cyclists in the UK.
We are proud to support Josh Quigley who has set a new world record for cycling the North Coast 500 route (NC500) on Saturday 19th September 2020.
Josh is a Scottish cyclist who has made a fighting comeback after his recovery from life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car whilst riding across America on his bike last year. We were the official sponsors for Josh as he took on the challenge to set a new record for the fastest time traveled around the popular 516 mile route across the Scottish Highlands.
Josh was successful in his attempt to beat former Commonwealth Games medalist James McCallum's world record time of 31 hours 23 minutes. His incentive for the challenge was to raise money for Baylor Scott & White Medical Centre, the Texas hospital where he received intensive care and rehabilitation following his accident last year.
Josh Quigley on his journey around the North Coast 500 Route...
Josh compeleted the route in 31 hours, 19 minutes and 8 seconds - beating the last world record by four minutes!
Since his accident in Texas last year, Josh was determined to return and complete his round-the-world cycle this year. The Coronavirus pandemic resulted in Josh having to find a new challenge closer to home.

"When I first met Josh, I knew instantly that he could achieve anything he put his mind to. His story of setback to comeback is truly inspirational and makes Josh the perfect ambassador for our new range of Sterosport Activ specialist bike first aid kits. We're delighted to play a part in supporting Josh in his North Coast 500 World Record Attempt."
